Books...

Anyone out there a reader? Sure some of you are...I just know you have to be out there...someone, anyone...

I am a member of a local book club and the current read is "Miles To Go Before I Sleep" it is about a woman shot during a hijacking. WOW what a courageous story and amazing!

There is just something about the determination one finds in a given situation. God can always guide and carry us during our times of trouble.

Early April...Who's the fool???

Let's see...the fool...could it be ME? I love being close to family here in ND but yet check out the picture taken on April 2nd. It is the icicle that froze while melting in the wind...if that makes any sense to you at all that means you must live in or near or be FROM North Dakota!

March Madness...

Am trying not to be mad/angry through it! HAHA.

March Madness...basketball lovers month! NCAA...state Class A and B tourneys...

My madness? (Besides being every day of every month~this is the madness/crazy thing) Is my kiddos in basketball! :) High school sports...such rivals and such stress for parents. More so on parents with the rival and the stress!

Is spring springing? I usually think that when March hits...snow will melt, mud will be tracked, colds will get worse because we think coats are optional, etc. BUT, those things are expected however might not HAPPEN. This IS North Dakota...

Oh, and the blog weekly has turned to monthly...resolutions are they ever kept for an entire year???

Ok, already broke that resolution! LOL Oh well at least I am putting an effort into it and better late than never right?!

North Dakota~the Flickertail state...a great wide rolling prairie that is beautiful in summer...however...

It's winter in North Dakota
And the gentle breezes blow
Seventy miles an hour
At thirty-five below.
Oh, how I love North Dakota
When the snow's up to your butt.
You take a breath of winter
And your nose gets frozen shut.
Yes, the weather here is wonderful
So I guess I'll hang around
I could never leave North Dakota
I'm frozen to the ground!

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Happy 2009 to all! My new year's resolution...to actually blog, facebook, & bebo daily...ok I have been doing the facebook and bebo but lax on the blog. So I will try to do better...TRY.

Winter is definitely here in ND. And it is awfully cold and the snow is terrible deep. Why, oh why do I live here? Well, I must like it at times because I don't move! Somedays it's a huge pondering of mine but other days I let it go...I must enjoy ND though or I wouldn't be here.

You have to live here to really 'get' the weather though...and boy, DO I GET IT! Or maybe not...I keep thinking it can't get any colder and it does...I think we certainly can't get any more snow...and we do...LOL. But eventually summer comes (and goes by WAY to fast!) and we do the winter time all over again...

So, there is the disorder for the day...I hope to blog weekly for this year...remember I said daily in the first paragraph...LOL.

Life is good...it has to be because I find something to laugh about every day and live for every moment with family and friends. Faith~Hope~Love!
