Some updated Chaos!

Ok so far summer has been fun...relaxing...and hectic along with chaotic all at the same time!

The piano has been quiet but then my little one has been running to friends, relatives and helping babysit with the middle one all summer. She said she knows the songs and doesn't want a summer lesson. I can't blame her for not wanting 'homework' this time of year I guess. But once school starts (which is getting closer every day!) she will get back into the swing. She does 'plunk' out a song every once in awhile so I can't complain. And it always makes me smile to hear it.

My oldest that graduated reminded me that in less than a month he leaves. That will be an adjustment. I was discussing it with a friend that informed me they all had a terrible time when her oldest left and the first weekend he returned home to visit they rolled out the red carpet and waited on him hand and foot. The second time...they asked him "are you home again?" So time will tell and I am sure I will keep you 'posted'.

Middle kid is busy with her summer job. Which I remind her that I gave her the OPTION to turn down. She is learning so much about kids and enjoying it. Somedays though... She called me one day to say that she was SO EMBARRASSED at the pool...which I thought back to being there and doing that myself! She also has mentioned 'the whiny voice' which I have heard on occassion...hm...guess she might realize that being a 'mom' or 'caregiver' isn't the easy job it looks like and you really need to put some thought into it before trying it on for size and for REAL!

And as for the hubby and me...we are busy. I find it a difficult job to finish all the novels reading in the sun on the deck while he works but I DESERVE TO DO THAT RIGHT? LOL Ok, I have finished more books this summer than any summer in the last 3 or 4 years but I do keep my house clean and work my regular job 2 days a week. If I could run as much as I sit on my hind quarter I would be getting some place. Hubby and I along with Arick (the oldest) will be running in a 5K this coming weekend. I did one last summer and was so excited but that was because NOT ONE of my family was going to be there or see me do it (this time not only will my kids and hubby be there but HIS family will all be there too!) and I felt better knowing that I could just relax running...this time I am a bundle of nerves hoping I don't embarrass them all...

Guess I will just need FAITH, HOPE, & LOVE and pray to finish it! :)
